End of Summer
News & Updates From Geary Brewing Co.
Sept. 5, 2019
What we've been up to:
Maine Brewer's Guild Summer Session
The Maine Brewer's Guild Summer Session was a huge success! This year it was an all Maine event featuring 75 breweries in a new location by the beautiful Spring Point Lighthouse.

We poured Razzle Dazzle raspberry sour lager, and Pick ME blueberry lager, and Pulling Traps IPA as our VIP beer.

Brewshed Alliance
Our active involvement in the Brewshed Alliance is paying off! Several new laws passed to protect our Maine water sources like our lakes and rivers including reducing runoff and requiring septic inspections near shoreland zones.

We're getting involved in educating the community by taking part in a documentary about the importance of clean water in the brewing process.

We are also being featured on a podcast by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife about our Maine resources and the work that the Brewshed Alliance is doing to preserve our water sources.

Stay tuned to our social media for updates on the video and podcast, and check out the Maine Brewshed Alliance's website, linked below, to learn more and how to get involved.

Dog Days of Summer
Our Dog Days of Summer Party was a great way to celebrate the season while raising money for Midcoast Humane!

Huge thank you to all of our partners who helped make this event happen. Thank you My Waffle for being our food vendor, to Pups n' ME for selling your awesome handmade products, and to DEEP DJ for providing great tunes!

Also a big thanks to Maine Soggy Dog and Planet Dog for donating many awesome products for the raffle.

Homebrewers Club
Earlier this summer the Southern Maine Homebrewers Club came to the brewery and brewed a kölsch, while the Island Dog Brewing homebrewers club, Smashed Dogs Homebrew Club, brewed their own kölsch.

On August 27th we all got together at 21 Taps and tasted both the brews. All proceeds from the two beers sold that night were donated to the Maine Children's Cancer Program for Strike out Cancer in Kids.

If you weren't able to make it to the event, but are interested in donating, click below to find out more and donate to the cause!
Maine Beer Box in Halifax
This summer the Maine Brew Box took the trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia. We sent our awesome Razzle Dazzle raspberry lager and it received rave reviews by the festival attendees. Both of our kegs kicked early in their sessions.
New Website Design
We recently redesigned our entire website and added a whole section on sustainability!
